Exhibition Opening Reception
A painting by Durlin reflects the world around us as we see
it today, but often with an insight to the past. Working with acrylics and pen & ink his
art comes alive with the extreme detail for which he is noted.
Durlin has been involved in the art field since his childhood in Utah &
California. He studied commercial at Los Angeles Trade Tech, the Famous Artists
School and cartooning at the California Institute of Arts. He is a former staff artist at ABC-TV and
McDonnell-Douglas Aircraft.
Since moving to Colorado in 1972 Durlin has concentrated on
his life love of creating art on canvas. Nature, Railroad and Days gone by are
the themes of Durlin’s creations.
